The site slopes down from Watford station to Watford Field and has a listed public library on its eastern edge. Included in the brief was a community hall that was placed next to a new public square adjacent to the public library. The houses were placed in two crescents that opened up towards the park whiles the apartments were placed on the higher part of the site towards the station. A podium of car parking was created below the apartment buildings. The scheme allows for great pedestrian permeability through the site towards the train station and the town centre facilities.
