This masterplan cover an area of 23 city blocks that are in various degrees of dereliction and disuse. The proposal is to regenerate the area for a dense mixed urban neighbourhood with strong pedestrian and functional links to adjacent neighbourhoods and the centre of Manchester. The masterplan proposes a range of uses that cover retail, office, residential, government to light industrial functions housed in various sizes of buildings for different scales of users.
